A. Jayasimha takes charge as Managing Director of Haldia Dock Complex

Mr A. Jayasimha has taken charge as the Managing Director of Haldia Dock Complex (HDC).

With more than 36 years of experience in the port sector, he commenced his career as a Class-I Officer at Chennai Port in 1989, before going on to serve as Chief Mechanical Engineer at Chennai Port as well as two other Major Ports - Paradip Port Authority and Cochin Port Authority.  

Among his achievements are implementing automation of MM functions and maintenance of plant & equipment at Chennai Port, and significantly contributing to enhancing productivity and reducing turnaround time at Paradip Port’s mechanised coal handling plant, earning him appreciation from the then Union Minister of Shipping.

Mr Jayasimha’s vast experience and expertise are expected to be key for the development of Haldia Dock Complex. A believer in collective responsibility and wisdom, he has called for cooperation from port users, employees of HDC and the trade at large to further strengthen the overall performance of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port and make it a more vibrant gateway of choice for its users, as per a release.
