APSEZ targeting 1 billion tonnes by 2030: Gautam Adani

Apr 8, 2026

Speaking at a function to mark Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) crossing the 500 million tonne milestone in 2025-26, Mr Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, said the company is now targeting 1 billion tonnes by 2030. He said the group’s port network has expanded into an integrated system of 20 ports across India and international locations, adding that APSEZ’s logistics and marine services businesses are expected to grow fivefold over the next five years. It took the company 16 years to reach its first 100 million tonnes, but the last 200 million tonnes were added in just four years. Mr Adani also announced a shift to a flatter, three-layer organisational structure to push decision-making closer to operations. He credited employees and on-ground workers for building the business. Numbers measure performance. Legacy measures something deeper, he said, according to a report.
