A full rake of Evergreen Line reefer containers recently marked the launch of a dedicated reefer rail service for the export of frozen potato products. The initiative, developed through a partnership between Evergreen Line, HyFun Foods and Adani Logistics, represents a significant step towards multimodal cold chain logistics for frozen food exports from Mundra Port.
The inaugural train service, operating from Adani Logistics’ ICD Virochanagar to Mundra Port, is purpose-built for temperature-sensitive cargo. It ensures seamless and efficient movement of frozen food products from inland production hubs in India to international markets, leveraging integrated rail and port connectivity.
This service delivers multiple
benefits: it strengthens India’s export capabilities, reduces carbon emissions, and provides true door-to-shore logistics integration for frozen foods.
The launch event was attended by key industry representatives, including Mr Shashank Bobade and Mr Ken Chen of Evergreen Shipping Agency India Pvt. Ltd, underscoring the collaborative effort behind this milestone in cold chain logistics.
