Jebel Ali Port running normally despite Gulf tensions

Mar 6, 2026

Operations at Jebel Ali Port, the Middle East’s largest maritime hub, remain fully operational despite rising geopolitical tensions in the region, according to DP World. The global ports and logistics operator said all terminals at Dubai’s flagship port are functioning normally while authorities maintain heightened security and safety protocols. The port is a critical gateway linking trade between Asia, Europe, Africa and North America, operating four major container terminals that collectively handle over 15 million TEUs annually, along with bulk cargo, breakbulk shipments and roll-on/roll-off traffic.

DP World said it is closely monitoring developments and coordinating with authorities to ensure operational stability. Despite regional security concerns affecting shipping routes across the Gulf, the port continues to serve as a vital logistics hub supporting global supply chains and regional trade flows, as per a report.
