Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the 2nd Major Port in India to successfully commission the Shore-to-Ship Power Supply System, providing full-load power to MV APJ INDRANI at CB-1 berth.
Owned by Apeejay Shipping, a 77-year-old legacy marine company, MV APJ INDRANI’s successful integration with this state-of-the-art system marks a meaningful step forward in sustainable maritime operations. The initiative opens new avenues for vessels equipped with shore power reception and strengthens green connectivity between future-ready ports.
Mr P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA, said: “The live monitoring panel and on-site operations reflect the efficiency and safety of this advanced set-up. This achievement reinforces PPA’s commitment to cleaner, greener and energy-efficient port operations.”
